  1. Fender Cyber Deluxe Amp

So I wanted an amp with a 12 inch maximum and I came across this little Fender Cyber Deluxe. I immediately saw the sonic palette he could bring me in my little home studio and it was the main argument because it saves me more to buy a POD or a V-Amp for the recording studio.

This is basically a computer with a speaker and takes a guitar input. This amp as virtually every Fender amp model within the main brain of this amp.

There really is nothing that this amp can't do as far as classic Fender tones. Granted it is not going to be a real authentic tube tone but rather a solid state tone that will be much less punchy and thinner than a amplifier. If I were to use this it would only be in a practice situation of some kind. They make the attempt that this is a gigging amp and with the midi input it sort of can be a gigging amp but there are so many programs in this amp that it takes away from actually feeling the guitar and amp connection. UTILIZATION Specs: 64 presets 16 reverbs with level and parameter edit controls 16 modulation effects with level and parameter edit controls 16 delay types with level and parameter edit controls Programmable noise gate and compressor MIDI Digital tuner Speaker emulated stereo line outputs 4-button Quick Access preset footswitch included Power: 65 watts Speaker: (1) 12 in. Weight: 45 lbs. Size (H x W x D): 18-1/2 x 23 x 11-3/16 in.

SOUNDS The tone from this amp is decent but not that great. Again this amp is a modeler amp and most modelers sound like garbage. When I think of modelers I think of Line 6. The tone from any amp modeler is going to be thin and sound basically like trash. This one is a bit better since they have higher bit rates and this DSP technology which I think is a step in the right direction.

Yet, the amp is still lacking in overall tone and feel. You cannot replace the feel of a tube amp. It is simple mimicking the notes that you are playing and cannot mimic dynamics at all. There is no dynamics in string attack and feel at all in a modeler amp. OVERALL OPINION These amps have now been fizzled out and I think replaced by the G-Dec amp from Fender.

You can find some on the used market and I have seen some recently for around $300 give or take a few bucks. These amps are highly sought after for those wanting to hear every single Fender amp made.

So you have to be a Fender amp lover to really enjoy this amp. If you simply need just an amp with some modeling abilities then look i the new G-Dec's from Fender. They have computer input abilities that are very great. After testing many amps to find the right rock sound, I instantly fell in love with the Fender Cyber Delux at our downtown music shop. This amp is perfect for the musician ready to move out of the garage and onto the stage. Packed with good factory sounds as well as the capability to tweak every effect combination so you can create exactly what you want, the Cyber Delux will be an amp that will excede your expectations.

It was pricy, $699, but worth every penny when you figure all the effects pedals you won't have to buy to get the sound you want. I like the 32 programable settings of the cyber delux and its superb fender amp modeling. It was very easy to get started playing, and after reading the manual i was blown away by the capabilities Fender has packed into this machine. Get the kids some earplugs because this baby can scream. I went out to the country to jam on a buddy's porch, at half volume this amp rattled my rib cage. Perhaps i'm asking too much, but i wish it came with a wah pedal as well as the four channel foot switch.

Heavy construction as far as i've noticed. Good space inside the cabinet for the foot switch and various cables. Great first nice amp for any level of player. Lots of effects to keep you interested and lets your music grow. This review was originally published on. I got this amp at Sound Control in Edinburgh, it cost me £599. I got it because I had surpassed my old marshall amp and needed a gig amp, and I am to clumbsy for Valve, so this is perfect.

Almost everything. The distortion is amazing, from the obviously Hendrix inspired 'Red House' lead setting to the Zakk wylde style distortion of Drop D'd and Dual Richter.

It all there, and the first thing you notice is how warm it is. The amp modeling is spot on, the brittish amp presets sound as good as their marshall counter parts (a watt combo) and everythign is great. The effects too, satisfy everything you would need, btu not everythign you would want No wah, but thats easily fixed with the upgraded pedal. The 10 cents flat LED on the tuner is broken, its on when it should be off, but thats all. But Basically I love it to bits. It weighs about 24 kgs, and as far as i know, it can survive most things you throw at it, plus its not valve, so its not got any fragile parts. Built like a bunker, with better aesthetics.

A brilliant amp for anyone who can't quite find that sound or tone, or anyone who can and loves it, its there for you, and its great This review was originally published on. I bought this friggin amazing amp at a local music store 'Victor Litz' near my house it was 700$ Te Fender Cyber Deluxe has the most accurate sounding tones to the vintage amps it 'Becomes' its just like a tube amp if u crank it up it will start to get distorted. I just love the deep warm tone that this amp has.The controls are simple to use on stage if u need to change something before a gig and the amp is a perfect practice amp to it has a trim knob that lets you measure how much volume u need.the noise gate and compression on this amp are really good to.The Fender Cyber Deluxe is deffinately worth each penny. What i don't like about the cyber deluxe was that it should have included two speakers for stereo amplification.Actualy thats my only beef with this amp other then that its great! The cyber deluxe has one 12 inch celestion speaker which sounds awesome. It doesnt have casters the would have been an improvment.the amp can also withstand sopme falls my amp fell from my table which is like two feet high and it still works normal. This amp is deffinately worth every dollar it is th e best thing to get instead of buying a thousand dollar tube amp u can get the same tones with extra features for only 700$. I purchased this fine, lightly used amp for $540 off eBay. This was compared to the local music shop that had a slightly used one for $899! I'd known about the cyber-twin, but at the time wasn't near a good enough guitarist, not to mention the price & size. So far, there's nothing i don't like. Honestly, it's the last amp i'll ever buy or probably play.

There's so much to 'tweak', the sounds are unlimited. The presets (effects & amp collection) are priceless.

This is being very picky & i know there is an expanded stompBox, but it's the only thing i could think to complain about. I've heard others bitch about 'no casters'. I'm sure it would get heavy if i were lugging it into/out of bars, but it's very small for the enormous sound.

Lighter than i'd expected after seeing in local music store. Others can say what they want, for me fender amps are very well-built. This is my third & all have been 100%. actually, i did have to change the input jack on my old tweed bronco, but i think my bro may have unplugged 'incorrectly' from across the room.

Best amp on the market. For sound quality/features/# of sounds/looks/size/quality in construction/price/etc, there's not one that can touch it.

This review was originally published on. Well I was shopping for an affordable quality amp for gigs and practice.

I wanted a tube amp with alot of power, but I was dissapointed with the fact that tube amps are very expensive. My old amp was a Line 6 it was bitchen but I didn't want to pay to have it fixed it was getting old and I wanted a new amp with a warranty. I played the Cyber deluxe for the first time at Guitar center in Covina CA.

This amp is small, but it packs a punch! I turned it up to 4 it was hanging with drums. I turned it up louder it sounded so clean I could not believe my ears. It has so many different sounds possible its crazy.

The amp models in the factory presets are outstanding at all volume levels. There are some really cool presets. For the money its the best amp out there.

Fender Cyber Deluxe Amp

Fender amp modeling technology smokes Line 6s' this amp sounds better than my old favorite. Oh and it comes with a four switch preset stomp box! There are no wheels. Its Fender tough. This is the best amp i've ever heard.

The bigger Cyber Twin must be awesome its got real tubes!!! This amp is worth every penny. All $700.00 This review was originally published on. What type of amplification (lamp, transistor.)? Transistor - Modlisation - What is the power dlivre? 65W - What connection?

1 HP 12 '60W. For stereo line output, headphone, line sotie with speaker simulation for recording, midi. Section effect: reverb, modulation (flanger, wah, tremolo, etc.), delay. Compressor and noise gate built. 4 switch pedals. I'm not sure what we could ask more for an amp of this size.

UTILIZATION The first thing to do with this amp is to switch to manual mode to auto mode because it tests the factory presets and as is often the case, they're full of effects and is all useless simplment except at most to the band StarWars FX. Once passed in manual mode, you choose the type of amp to emulate and then the Cyber Deluxe amp reacts like a classic and its own settings. Even the effects are applied according to the modeled real amp (pre or post treatment). The interface is not always on top because the amp is rather small and already provided lots of buttons and other pots. So it lacks some serigraphs and it is often back into the manual to know what each setting. Not to mention the LEDs galore that rapidly switch your amp for a Christmas tree.

But after reading the manual we can better understand the logic of the device and it comes out fairly quickly. I also regret that we can not cut the HP when using the line output with speaker simulation (but hey, just plug a jack into the headphone output gap). I think it is possible to update the firmware but it is obliged to send the Fender amp. Impractical when the amp is equipped with a MIDI that could serve this purpose. Amp extremely brief but full of that blow is not the easiest to use at first: a force to the technology around you lose a little feeling of the gear basic but functional immediately.

SOUNDS The sounds are very convincing, I was pleasantly surprised by the technology of modeling. My previous amp was a Peavey Classic 50 (head + 4x10 cabinet) that I can resell for lack of space. I wanted with my new purchase, I have a small combo featuring a wide range of sounds to use in my home studio. The clean sounds are superb and very nice crunch.

Some emulations are not at all convincing, but the principal is there and looking around quickly found the 'soul' of Fender amps (but never fully achieved, unfortunately), despite the technology used. I shall make a reservation on the distortions that I find it a bit noisy. It sounds rather transistor, it lacks warmth and is not creamy enough for my taste, despite the proposed range of preset.

So I use my Ibanez pedal TubeKing tube and I found a tube distortion that I like. The simulations are made and connecting it directly to the soundcard via the line out jack, you get a 'pod like' with its very nice fits rather well to the mix even if overall the sound n ' is not sufficiently defined. Bravo to the side of the amp versatile anyway!

The effects section is good without being exceptional. Troubleshoot it for the live one will say.

OVERALL OPINION I changed before any amp for congestion problems. So I wanted an amp with a 12 inch maximum and I came across this little Fender Cyber Deluxe. I immediately saw the sonic palette he could bring me in my little home studio and it was the main argument because it saves me more to buy a POD or a V-Amp for the recording studio. Its 60W is more than enough to repeat in a little training.

In short you'll understand that his strength is his versatility, the whole 'I can do anything' in such a small amp. In terms of sound, you'll get nice crunch and clean sounds wonderful but I was not totally convinced by the overdrive that sounds a bit 'transistor' for my taste. But hey, good pedal and it's done. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase because it meets my expectations but do not hesitate to spend a few hours on it before you get an idea for a long grip is necessary. Quote: my songs pop: www.rexet.com ( ).

This is a modeling amp with integrated effect section. The power is 65 watts.

It is equipped with a hp twelve inches. We have a variety of settings including: 3-band EQ, gain, volume, master volume, entry-level choice of the modeled amp, save settings etc.

The connection is very full, especially with an emulator hp stereo output, the possibility to connect another amp to get sound in stereo. An entry and exit south.

Deluxe

However, I regret the absence of speaker output. The weight is still very reasonable (about twenty kilograms). It has a tuner whose effectiveness is not absolute, but helps out. UTILIZATION Despite numerous commands, usage is simple and intuitive. You panic a little during the first five minutes and then everything is fine. However, the possibilities are immense.

We can save a large number of very different sounds, from clean 'tube amp fifties' in its 'stack high gain modern' and even save them to a computer. In a pressure foot, you change your sound universe and that's really sensational. For its part, the manual is very detailed and once is unusual in French. The digital display allows for fine adjustments. The output of hp with emulator allows you to recycle the sound without putting a microphone in front of the HP, which is always dangerous on the smaller stages (one through the micro hp, it hurts). SOUNDS I used this amp with several guitars: Les Paul Standard, Start Plus, dot ES 335, Variax 500.

Each time, I am very happy with the sound. I do not pretend that it is better than a tube amp, but found the sound without spending two hours working out with a noise level not too high and we have no lamps to change (which is very expensive when you have a Vox or Mesa lamps at 12-13). The sounds are of high quality and it would take too long to detail all of them.

Note only that the amp delivers beautiful harmonics. In terms of effects, the reverberations are splendid. They transform the sound color.

Other effects are good (chorus, tremolo, phaser.) However, the manual is not worth wha a real wah pedal and the machine is very noisy: it looks like a duck that sings. The compressor and noise gate complete this outfit complete. The sounds of plants are too demonstrative for use on stage. Better to make his own recordings. One regret, however, when playing at high volume, sound becomes less clear, especially in saturation, it is very correct, but I think a decision to add a HP would have solved this little problem. OVERALL OPINION J'ulise this amp for 3 years and I still have two years warranty. Is noteworthy.

I think it is a good alternative to cyber twin, more efficient, but also heavier and bulky. It is without doubt the best amp I had. It offers tremendous opportunities for a limited size, ease of maintenance and utilistation zero (no lights). He convinced me of the benefits of modeling. Maybe we will say it does not imitate to perfection particular amp, but it is not important: it offers modern and classical sounds great qualities and it was most needed to walk with ten pedals and all adapters and cables. The value for money is convincing, especially as this last fall.

Transistor amplifier 65 W, but watch it crushes a Marshall 100 watts without problems. 1 line guitar, an input / output effects rack, a standard line out, 1 line out 'amp simulation' very practical and very realistic to save without putting a microphone in front of the hp, 1 headphone, 1 entry expression pedal 1 foot 4 buttons to navigate between sounds. Warning there is a little latency to change sound a bit boring being piece. Multi-Effects Complete associable into three categories: - Reverb (multiple choice) - Chorus / vibrato / tremolo / wah / phaser / flanger - Delay (multiple choice) UTILIZATION Frankly it is super simple to use and take control without manual. In contrast settings of the delay (feedback, delay) are readily accessible in real time.

The sound is not worth a good tube amp (but do not forget the price for this power amp with full multi-effects built hot rod deluxe style.), but by tweaking the settings is well more honorable. SOUNDS I play post-rock, with lots of delay, reverb, and sometimes vibrato. It works well in this case.

I use a poor copy of (jim harley), until something better (and more money.) Sounds delay + reverb + tremolo is a little impeccable. But his clear and saturates Fender type should not put it next to a hot rod deluxe. Saturated fat good good for metal (so I avoid) OVERALL OPINION I use it for 1 year, I love the effects and having a tuner and a direct simulation output amp is what makes me hesitate to change it. At the time I tried too few amps before buying it. But whenever I can I opt for a hot rod deluxe with a pedal-memory man electro harmonix is still another sound. The price has dropped, if that is what we seek (ie, a super multi-effect with a more than not drinking but still light) the value is excellent, especially around 800 secondhand euros.

It's still super stuff. With experience, I do not do it again this election but I get a little demanding at its. When one has tasted the lamp difficult to go back!
